Those of us who live in the Cape or visit frequently are aware of the wonderful assets of the community which include it's location, ambience, and people. In short, it is a wonderful place to work, play and bring up a family.

As Supervisor I view it a responsibility to protect these assets and to build upon them;
1. The town and village comprehensive plan.
2.  The Zoning Codes which guide present and future land use.
3.  Preservation and better utilization of the Tibbetts Point Lighthouse property
4.  Job creation through support of Metalcraft Marine and encouragement of additional related manufacturing.
5.  Encouragement of cross border commerce through participation in the efforts of the Kingston/Wolfe Island/Cape Vincent joint efforts.
6.Continue our Openness in government.

Maintain and improve the public utilities necessary for the safety and growth of the community. Such things include providing potable water to more citizens, adding a salt barn to meet code as well as to ensure safe roads during winter months.  Maintain and provide additional athletic equipment and opportunities for our young and older citizens.

During this year the town is obligated to reassess all property values -- this will be a laborious but necessary process to ensure that our properties are fairly valued with one another as well as the rest of the county.  We are fortunate to have experienced and competent assessors staff and we ask that you cooperate with them in this endeavor.

Lastly, I want to thank the voters for their support of me as well as the new board members in the last election.  As you can see we have our work cut out for us.  We welcome your participation and feedback during the coming years.
