The Town of Cape Vincent Zoning Board of Appeals will hold a Public Hearing on Monday, November 4, 2019 at 6:00 p.m. at Recreation Park on So. James Street, Cape Vincent, to consider the application of Peter Carlevatti.

Mr. Carlevatti is requesting a 7-foot side variance from the Zoning Law, Section 3.3, paragraph 2, in order to erect a garage at 33741 Carlton Dr., Cape Vincent, NY 13618 (Tax Map #40.09-1-91).

PUBLIC HEARING NOTICE

            Please Take Notice that the Town Board of the Town of Cape Vincent will resume the public hearing regarding the adoption of Local Law #3 of 2019, The Town of Cape Vincent Zoning Law, on October 22, 2019 immediately following the Public Hearing at 6pm for Local Law #2, Tax Cap Override at the Recreation Park Building, James St., Cape Vincent, New York 13618. A special meeting of the Board will be held immediately following the Public Hearing.

A copy of the proposed zoning law is available for review at the Town Clerks office and on the town website

All Persons wishing to be heard on this issue should be present at the date time and place aforesaid or have submitted written comments in advance. Any persons requiring special accommodations to attend the meeting and participate should notify the Town Clerk at least three (3) business days prior to the date and time of the public hearing.

PUBLIC HEARING NOTICE

PLEASE TAKE NOTICE that the Town Board of the Town of Cape Vincent has scheduled a public hearing with a special Board Meeting to immediately follow, on October 22 at 6:00pm at the Recreation Park Building located at 602 S James Street, Cape Vincent, New York 13618 to consider Local Law #2 of 2019. The purpose of the Hearing is to allow the Town Board to override the tax cap limit on the amount of real property taxes that may be levied by the Town of Cape Vincent pursuant to General Municipal Law ยง3-C for the fiscal year of 2020. A copy of the proposed law is available for review at the Town Clerks office and on the town website.

TRAVELER ADVISORY

STATE ROUTE 12E IN MILLENS BAY TO CLOSE FOR

CULVERT REPLACEMENT

Please be advised that State Route 12E at Millens Bay in Jefferson County will be closed to traffic beginning Monday, September 16. The closure is to allow for the replacement of the culvert carrying State Route 12E.

An off-site detour utilizing County Route 8 and County Route 4 as well as State Route 12E has been signed for travelers. All local roads will remain open during construction. Work is expected to be complete later this year.
