Cape Vincent Joint Fire District in Cape Vincent, New York

NOTICE IS HEREBY GIVEN that pursuant to a resolution of the Board of Fire Commissioners, the annual election of the qualified voters of the Cape Vincent Joint Fire District in Cape Vincent, County of Jefferson, State of New York, will be held at 241 East Broadway Street on December 10, 2024 between the hours of 6pm and 9pm for the purpose of electing one (1) fire district commissioner for a five (5) year term, commencing on the first day of January, 2025 and ending on December 31, 2029.

All persons registered to vote in the district and residing in the district for at least thirty days prior to the day of the vote may vote in such annual election.

 

Notice of Public Hearing

The Town of Cape Vincent Zoning Board of Appeals will hold a Public Hearing on Monday, December 2, 2024 at 6:00 p.m. at Recreation Park on So. James Street, Cape Vincent, to consider the application of Rick Blocker.

Mr. Blocker is requesting a 3’ foot side and rear setback variance from the Zoning Law, Section 3.3, table 2, to replace an existing shed with a new garage  at 33881 Mance Dr. , Cape Vincent, NY 13618 (Tax Map #: 40.09-1-39.2).

Ms. Clobridge is requesting a 3’11”  side setback variance from the Zoning Law, Section 3.1, table 1 and a variance to the 5:1 depth:width ratio at 3024 Fox View Lane, Cape Vincent, NY 13618 (Tax Map #: 59.12-1-34.1).

Notice of Public Hearing on Preliminary Budget

Notice is hereby given that the preliminary budget of the Town of Cape Vincent for the year beginning January 1, 2025 has been completed and filed in the office of the Town Clerk of Cape Vincent where it is available for inspection by any interested person during regular business hours.

Further notice is hereby given that the Town Board of the Town of Cape Vincent will hold a public hearing on the preliminary 2025 town budget, with a special meeting to immediately follow, at the Recreation Park Building, 602 S James Street, Cape Vincent at 6:30pm on the 7^th day of November 2024; and, at such hearing any person may be heard in favor of or against any item or items therein contained.

Pursuant to Section 113 of the Town Law the Proposed salaries of the following Town Officers are specified as follows:

Supervisor                                          $22,038.00

Town Clerk/Tax Collector              $50,000.00

Councilman (4) ea                            $ 3,720.75

Town Justice (2) ea                          $13,956.00

Superintendent of Highway         $71,000.00
