Public Hearing Notice – Bond Resolution

PUBLIC HEARING NOTICE

Please Take Notice that the Town Board of the Town of Cape Vincent has scheduled a public hearing for Dec. 21, 2023 at 6:00pm at the Recreation Park Building, 602 S. James St., Cape Vincent, New York 13618. The public hearing is being held for the purpose of adopting a resolution for the issuance of Serial Bonds in an amount not to exceed $1,000,000.00. The proceeds are to be used for the Cape Vincent Waterfront Project.

Notice is also being given that the Public Hearing will be accessible livestream through the following link https://us02web.zoom.us/j/82151288652 Meeting ID: 821 5128 8652.

A regular meeting of the Board will be held immediately following the Public Hearing.

A copy of the proposed Resolution is available for review at the Town Clerks office. All Persons wishing to be heard on this issue should be present at the date, time and place aforestated or have submitted written comments in advance.  Any persons requiring special accommodations to attend the meeting and participate should notify the Town Clerk at least three (3) business days prior to the date and time of the public hearing.

Notice of Election

Cape Vincent Joint Fire District in Cape Vincent, New York

NOTICE IS HEREBY GIVEN that pursuant to a resolution of the Board of Fire Commissioners, the annual election of the qualified voters of the Cape Vincent Joint Fire District in Cape Vincent, County of Jefferson, State of New York, will be held at 241 East Broadway Street on December 12, 2023 between the hours of 6pm and 9pm for the purpose of electing one (1) fire district commissioner for a five (5) year term, commencing on the first day of January, 2024 and ending on December 31, 2028.

All persons registered to vote in the district and residing in the district for at least thirty days prior to the day of the vote may vote in such annual election.

Transfer Site Recycling Update

CAPE VINCENT TRANSFER SITE RECYCLING UPDATE

As of August 1, 2023, all cardboard – thin and corrugated – will be recycled together.

They will no longer be separated. Questions call 315-654-4734
